Integrated Donor Wall - donor recognition,
alumni recognition, organizational history, awareness, transparency, project updates, giving options
The Indiana University Foundation (IUF) is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to maximizing private support for Indiana University. Chartered in 1936, IUF manages more than a billion dollars in assets, helping to make possible the education of nearly 100,000 students annually across IU’s eight campuses.
When IUF sought a donor recognition solution, they wanted something dignified, forward looking and able to handle large quantities of data. Moreover, they needed to be able to update it easily. IUF turned to Planned Legacy to create this system for thanking their more than 110,000 alumni and friends who give over $150 million dollars to the University each year.
The Integrated Donor Wall that Planned Legacy designed for IUF combines a large format 40" LCD monitor with a Mini-Maestro speaker that raises and lowers sound levels depending on the ambient noise in the immediate display area. The screen is mounted on a maple veneer wall.
Designed and manufactured by Planned Legacy, this custom enclosure is stained to match existing wood in the area and to evoke the warmth and gravitas of the Indiana University mission. Screen modules include:
- About the IU Foundation - provides background information about IUF and its Board of Directors.
- Giving Societies - searches the IUF donor database by last name or giving category.
- Gifts in Action - includes various scholarships, along with video and text explaining why distinguished alumni have chosen to give to Indiana University.
- How to Give - explains the need and process for making a contribution to Indiana University.
