Winnipeg, MB - July 16, 2004 - The Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (http://www.ckha.on.ca/foundation/) has installed a state-of-the-art integrated donor recognition system designed by PlannedLegacy, which includes two separate donor walls complemented by interactive multimedia presentations accessible via a touch-screen kiosk and an LCD monitor.
The new system utilizes the latest interactive display technology to provide visually powerful donor, volunteer and corporate recognition, and to celebrate the success of the Foundation’s $20 million "Your Health, Your Future" capital campaign.
"The Chatham and Wallaceburg displays give permanent recognition to the outstanding individuals, organizations and companies who have made a commitment to investing in quality healthcare in Chatham-Kent," said Foundation President Tom McCarthy.
The donor wall installed at Sydenham District Hospital in Wallaceburg, Ontario, features three large glass panels above a photomural of foliage from the Carolinian Forest, a unique environmental feature of the area, and is complemented by an interactive multimedia presentation on an adjacent touch-screen kiosk. Trees and leaves from the Carolinian Forest were used to represent the various giving levels. Each of the glass panels lists giving categories and their respective donors in high quality vinyl lettering that lends itself to easy revision and updating.
The donor wall installed at Chatham, Ontario is slightly larger than the wall at Wallaceburg, and in addition to glass panel recognition listings for donors who have supported the Foundation between 1998-2004, it features a separate glass panel dedicated exclusively to the "Your Health, Your Future" capital campaign. The Chatham installation is complemented by a multimedia presentation displayed on an integrated LCD touch-screen monitor.
The interactive multimedia presentations are designed to engage, entertain and inform visitors as well as to recognize contributors, and include modules such as: "About the Foundation", "Major Donor Recognition", "Cumulative Giving", "Capital Campaigns", and an "Events Calendar". Foundation staff can quickly revise content in key areas of the presentation using PlannedLegacy’s Web-based content management system.
"We chose PlannedLegacy not only because they showed a genuine interest in our facility and our campaign," said Senior Development Officer, Michele Grzebien. "But because their system is easy to update in a timely fashion and it solves our space limitation problems. We can quickly add or revise donor names, add upcoming events etc. I think this is the future of donor walls."
