Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy,
New York, is one of America’s most prestigious engineering
and technical training universities. To ensure that their
message was presented in a way that reflected their innovation
and technical leadership, Rensselaer chose PlannedLegacy
to design and program a dynamic digital multimedia presentation,
and a contemporary, custom crafted enclosure to house it.
The digital multimedia presentation is viewed on an NEC
40” LCD screen and is designed to show three presentation
panels simultaneously. The largest showcases alumni of distinction,
significant technical and academic achievements and key
historic milestones. A second panel features donor recognition
in a series of transitioning screens, while a third panel
highlights events and announcements that are relevant to
Rensselaer students, faculty and staff.
The custom enclosure, designed and fabricated by PlannedLegacy,
features a specially designed audio speaker that adjusts
volume to compensate for ambient sound.
